The challenges of decision-making for your loved ones with Alzheimer’s Disease
Please join us on Monday, May 18th at 6:00PM for this informative session regarding Alzheimer’s disease. Peter Ham, accomplished lecturer, author and a licensed mental health counselor will offer his insight and expertise on the challenges in decision-making such as determining when your loved one is no longer safe being alone; what are the safety issues; when is it time for the caregiver to consider care alternatives; how to address the difficult decisions; and getting to know and become comfortable with resources available to help. Location of the program is Community VNA, 10 Emory St. in Attleboro and is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is required. Peter Ham is a licensed mental health counselor for over 30 years. He has been an active participant with the Alzheimer’s Association for many years including being Vice President for Programs and Services in Massachusetts and New Hampshire as well as the lead facilitator of an early stage Alzheimer’s support group for individuals recently diagnosed and their care partners. Peter was honored by The Alzheimer’s Association as the “2009 Unsung Hero” for his advocacy and work.
