SUMMARY:Ken Graves Presents Che Apalache Bluegrass from Argentina
DESCRIPTION:Concert: Che Apalache\nNew to the MRPAC Stage is Che Apalache\, Bluegrass from Argentina\, - or Latingrass - appearing at the Marilyn Rodman Performing Arts Center on Thursday\, May 9\, 2019 beginning at 7:30 pm.\n\n\n\nChe Apalache\, the new Latingrass group from Argentina\, appeared on All Things Considered August 14th\, and within an hour the response was so great their website had to be upgraded to handle all the traffic!\n\n\n\nChe Apalache is a four-man string band based in Buenos Aires with members from Argentina\, Mexico and the United States. The group's founder is Joe Troop (fiddle)\, a North Carolinian multi-instrumentalist\, singer-songwriter and composer who moved to Argentina in 2010. While patiently carving out a niche in the local music scene\, Joe taught bluegrass and old-time music for a living. That's how he met Pau Barjau (banjo)\, Franco Martino (guitar) and Martin Bobrik (mandolin)\, his most dedicated students. They quickly became picking buddies and in 2013 decided to form Che Apalache and hit the stage.\n\n\n\nDon't miss your chance to see Che Apalache! Reserved Seating tickets are $20 at this link or www.orpheum.org. Contact the MRPAC Box Office for group and member discounts at 508-543-2787 or boxoffice@orpheum.org
